Western International University

Western International University, our name says it all. We are proud to be
a truly international university. International issues and technology are

40 countries, including the United States. The diversity of WIU's student

flexible and practical approach to learning. Our flexible schedule enables
you to expedite your academic progress. Two-month sessions begin every
month, and new students can begin monthly. At WIU, we offer you a
traditional, nontraditional educational, with an emphasis on practical

About WIU
WIU was founded in 1978 as a
private institution, with the philosophy that a global perspective is
vital to businesses that wish to compete in the international marketplace.
In September 1995, the university became an independent subsidiary of the
Apollo Group, Inc.
WIU offers bachelor, master, Executive MBA, and ESL programs. Our
university is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and
Schools and strictly adheres to the guidelines and practices set forth by
NAFSA.
With a total student enrollment exceeding 68,000, Apollo has become one
of the largest providers of higher education programs for working adults
in the United States. WIU is a small university with a student population
of just over 2000, enabling us to provide unmatched flexibility and direct
decision-making.

students come from over 40 countries, including the U.S. We recognize that
this high level of diversity necessitates a flexible and practical
approach to learning. Our flexible schedule enables full-time students to
expedite their academic progress and working professionals to complete
their degree without interrupting their career. Applications are welcome
year-round, and students are able to begin classes monthly.
Student Body
Our student body totals
approximately 2200, 10% of which are international students. Our faculty,
all with advanced degrees and many with international experience, also
work in their field of expertise. This enables them to combine American
business techniques with a global perspective, making the most of
classroom diversity and providing a unique learning environment.
Schedule
WIU offers traditional programs
with a non-traditional schedule. First, classes are offered mainly in the
evening because most of our students work either full-time or within an
internship setting. Second, courses are offered in two-month sessions. New
sessions begin every month; so new students can begin year-round.
Sessions
Sessions are two months in
length, with a session beginning each month. Students may take one to
three courses per session, allowing full-time students to expedite their
academic progress.
